Parnell Styled Concrete

This classic white brick home in Parnell used Stevenson’s 16mm Hawke’s Bay pebble with black oxide. With a neatly clipped lawn and low-growing shrubs, the focus of the landscape is the driveway, with a basalt colouring added for texture and interest. The house is a very light colour, and the length of the richly coloured driveway contrasts with it without confusing the eye. The driveway is segmented by pieces of natural stone, closely matched to the pebble in the styled concrete. A white water feature in the garden is also surrounded with the same concrete mix, which has been fashioned into paths trimmed with natural stone cobbles and low hedge-forming plants. |
